The oriental melon, also known as the Korean melon, is a type of muskmelon that is cultivated in East Asia.
Its flavour has been described as a hybrid between a Honeydew Melon and a Cucumber. It is noticeably less sweet than Western varieties of melon, and consists of about 90% water.
The fruits are commonly eaten fresh, with its thin rind and small seeds (yes, the melon can be eaten whole).
There’s nothing like taking a crunchy bite of a chilled Chamoe on a hot summer day. So here is how to enjoy this fragrant, cute yellow fruit.
How to Enjoy:
- Peel off the skin.
- The most important tip for eating chamoe is to keep the innards! That delicate white flesh surrounding the seeds is where most of the sweetness lies.
