"Setoka" is a variety created by crossing "Murcott" with the breeding line (No. 2) of "Kiyomi" x "Encore". 

The pericarp is a little dark orange, and the size is around 250g. It has a high sugar content and a gentle acidity, and has a rich and excellent flavor. The flesh is soft and rich in juice. The membrane (thin skin) is very thin and you can eat the whole bag.

The name "Setoka" comes from the "Setoka" of the strait "Hayasaki Seto" that can be seen from Kuchinotsucho, Minamishimabara City, Nagasaki Prefecture, the fragrance, and the expected cultivation in the Setouchi region. That's right.

How to Eat:

The skin is thin and soft, and you can easily peel it by hand like a mandarin orange. The bag is thin and you can eat the whole bag. Enjoy the soft and juicy sweet and sour taste while it is fresh. There are basically no seeds.

Also, if you use it as a topping for cakes and tarts, you can enjoy a slightly luxurious taste. If you have a lot of it, it is recommended to use jam (marmalade).
